Struggling with Anxiety & Worry?

Do you struggle with anxiety and worry? Who doesn’t? One in six U.S. adults reported taking a psychiatric drug primarily to help with depression and anxiety (according to a 2013 Medical Expenditure Panel Survey).

We tend to worry about our kids, our career, our marriage, our relationships, our weight, our finances, just about anything and everything. We let those worries pile on and as we think about them continuously they can turn into paralyzing anxiety and physically damaging stress.  The Bible says “Do not be anxious about anything” Philippians 4:6 (ESV). But how do we actually do that? The second part of the verse says “in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God”. A starting point for relieving stress and worry is to talk to God, thank Him for our blessings, and ask Him for help with our lives. When we unburden our selves and really trust Him with our problems we can experience peace from Him.

Join us for a women’s brunch, join the discussion and see what God’s Word says about how to handle these common problems we all face at one time or another. Invite a friend who could use some encouragement or just a fun time out with the girls.

The discussion will be led by Cindi Massaro, a certified biblical counselor and our pastor’s wife.
