Acceptable Worship

July 15, 2018 Mark Massaro Confession, Life, Sin, Submit, Worship Genesis Genesis - Origins

In Genesis 4 we see sibling rivalry at its worst. But the heart of the matter is what is acceptable worship. One brother gave God what was convenient, while the other gave God his best. Cain compared himself to his brother, became angry, bitter, and did the unthinkable. His heart was not right.

Genesis – The Big Lie

July 8, 2018 Mark Massaro authority, Fear, God, Life, Sin, Worship Genesis Genesis - Origins

We are going to look at the devil’s Big Lie in Genesis chapter three. Just as he tempted Adam and Eve to disobey God, we are tempted in the same way: doubting God’s Word and doubting God’s goodness. February 11, 2018 Mark Massaro Contentment, Gratitude, Jesus, Peace, Worship Colossians Equipped for Life: Colossians

The real Christian life is not a list of dos and don’ts. It’s not keeping track of how many times you read your Bible and prayed. It is not how much money you gave, many classes you taught, or casseroles you baked. It is bringing glory to God through everything you do because you are so thankful to God.

Cleaning House

January 23, 2018 Mark Massaro Contentment, Purity, Worship Colossians Equipped for Life: Colossians

Cleaning House. The problem with being a pack rat or a hoarder is unless you start to get rid of some stuff, there will be no room for anything new. It’s like that in our Christian life as well. If we don’t clean house and get rid of the sin and junk in our lives, there will be no change in our behavior or room for living with the Holy Spirit in control. How can we glorify our holy, matchless, unparalleled God with a life full of garbage? Let’s clean house!
