
Find Peace in the Heart of Christmas
Scripture: Luke 2:8-14; Colossians 1:19-22; Ephesians 2:14-16, Matthew 5:9, Colossians 3:12-15
Peace = Shalom
Shalom means completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety, soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.
God’s Peace is for All People
Shepherd’s were average, ordinary people.
The Messiah would bring Shalom to the whole world.
Peace with God is our greatest need.
Jesus Reconciles Us to God
Jesus is the fullness (the shalom) of God.
Peace with God is the promise of God in our lives.
Adventus = arrival
Christ first brought peace with God
His second arrival will bring final peace (shalom) to the entire creation
Peace is Our Purpose
World needs people who have the peace of God and willing to share it.
Be a peacemaker.
God invites you have peace with Him and others.
