Do you know who else talked a lot about money? Jesus.
He talked more about money more than he talked about heaven or hell. Of the thirty-nine parables we find in the Gospels, eleven talk about money.
Jesus was not preaching and teaching to ask people to give Him money for His ministry. He was not telling people he needed to build a bigger church. I believe He talked about money so much because money shows us and others what is important to us. The way we think about and use our money reveals our hearts.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
You’ve probably heard TV preachers asking for your money. And they are not bashful! They often promise that God is waiting to bless you if only you would give all you can. Some of you went to churches where they told you how much you were required to give. Money can be a touchy subject and some churches avoid talking about it at all. My aim this morning is to preach from the Bible so you are hearing from God not me.
Today we are going to take a look into God’s Word to see if we can answer this question. “Does God Need My Money?”
You are a Steward not Owner
Steward has responsibility and authority to manage something.

SUMMARY
So does God need my money?
No, God owns everything and has control over everything. It is all His money anyway. We are called to be stewards. God blesses us when we give generously and graciously to those in need.
If every household in our church gave ten percent, we would have over twenty percent more than enough for the current budgeted items and we could do even more outreach, support more missionaries, and better keep up our facilities.
Some can give more, some can give less. God says to give bountifully as you are able. Give cheerfully. Thank God for providing for your needs and providing your salvation. You glorify God when you give generously.
