Everlasting Love
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with graciously give us all thing?
Romans 8:32 ESV
God’s grand redemption plan from the very beginning required self-sacrificing love to free us from sin. We celebrate God’s great love at Christmas because he love was manifested in the the lowly stable – Emmanuel, God with us – came to become of us while still retaining his Godhead. He had to be human to die on the cross; He had to be God for the sacrifice to pay for our sins.
If God would not spare his own Son, why would He give up on us and “waste” the sacrifice of Jesus? He will never give up on his chosen, adopted to become sons and daughters. Nothing on earth, under the earth, not even spiritual forces and powers can separate us from his love. Through Jesus Christ, his grace provides all we need: strength for today, grace to continue, hope for tomorrow and the eternal life waiting for us in heave.
To God be the Glory forever and ever.
May God bless you and your family this Christmas season.
