Scripture: Luke 9

Luke 9:18-20, Isaiah 53:3-7, Luke 9:23, Luke 9:24-26, Luke 9:57-62, Luke 14:25-33

My hope and prayer is that we all take up our cross, we all keep the plow straight, because the gospel needs to be spread. And it needs to be the true Gospel of repentance not a counterfeit one of “easy believism” or a twisted version that teaches that we don’t need to die to one’s self – to give up our sin.

Remember what the Apostle Paul said, for to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Jesus is the reason for being. My life should be all about following Him. Take up your cross and be willing to lose everything for Him. And even in death, you will gain everything – eternal life in heaven for ever and ever.

Today’s Speaker: Adam DeSanto

Adam serves as a deacon at First Baptist Church. Adam loves to dig deeper into God’s Word and share it with others. He teaches our High School Sunday School class and also serves on the Facilities Committee. His wife, Sarah, is our church & school secretary.
