POINT #1 – Hope In God’s Plan For Your Life

Jeremiah 29:11-13

Wherever you find yourself today, I want to encourage you that God has a plan for your life. When you begin to know God through His Son Jesus Christ, and you live your life according to his Word, your steps start to align with His plan for your life.

1 Corinthians 10:31

says whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. God created us in his image, and his plan for every person on earth is to show the world what He looks like. Jesus came to give us an example of a life lived completely for God. In last week’s message, Jesus said the greatest commandments are Love God and show his love to your neighbors. Is your life wrapped up in yourself and your own comfort? You will never be satisfied. You will never have enough money, never have enough friends, never look good enough, never have enough prestige, never have enough stuff. But God says when you look to Him for fulfillment and you start helping others know and see Him, it will all begin to turn around.

Psalm 119:105

God has a plan for your life. We find it in His Word, the Bible. You can trust Him and you can put your hope in Him. His love and care for His creation is unfailing and never ending.

POINT #2 – Hope In God’s Never-Ending Love

Romans 8:37-39

Our hope is found not only in His good plan for us but also in his love for us. There is nothing that can separate us from the love that God has for us through Jesus. And that truth empowers us to face any challenge that comes.

POINT #3 – Hope In God’s Strength

Philippians 4:13

Hope happens when we come to realize that we don’t have the strength on our own to live like Jesus. Hope happens when we submit our lives to obeying His Word and allowing him to empower us for his glory – showing people how he responded to life’s ups and downs.

CLOSING

My prayer for each of us here today is that we would be overflowing with hope as we become more aware of God’s plan, love, and strength that can be ours through Jesus Christ. Do want to know why you’re here on earth? Do you want to know God’s love? Do you want supernatural strength to handle anything?
The hope, love, and strength I talked about today, can only be found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Notice I didn’t say through going to church, doing good deeds, or giving to charities. While those are all good things to do, God said in Ephesians 2:8-9 You can only be saved by God’s grace. By faith in Jesus Christ. It is not your own works, but a give of God so that no one can boast or brag about it.
Admit that you are a sinner who needs a Savior. Believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross to pay for your sins and rose from the dead to offer you eternal life and a relationship with God your heavenly Father. Come talk to me after the service if you want to know more about this hope.
If you have already done that, are you trusting in Jesus? Is he your hope? Or are you waiting for the government, a doctor or someone else to make things right?
Are you living according to God’s Word so you are following His plan for your life?
Are you trying to do everything in your own strength or turning your life over to God’s Holy Spirit to lead and guide you?
