Scripture: Genesis 1:1-25
Today I’m picking up from my message in Genesis 1 from a few weeks ago. Genesis is the book of beginnings and it is our origin story. It was written from the perspective of someone here on earth. So as we read and understand the biblical text, we can see that it doesn’t tell us everything about the universe, but what it does describe is all true and accurate.
Day 2 – Sky & Water
Day 3 – Land, Sea, & Plants
Day 4 – Sun, Moon, Stars, Planets
Day 5 – Sea Creatures & Birds
Day 6 – Animals & Humans
Formless to Form to Fullness
My Response:
The universe and our perfectly lighted, heated, and balanced home, earth, were all prepared for us to care for and enjoy all that He created. God provided all that we need and He is all we need. Psalm. 107:9 says, “He satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul He fills with good things.”
Unfortunately, sin (disobeying God) brought death and disease to His beautiful creation and it separated that perfect relationship with God so this intelligent, all-powerful, loving Creator sent His Son, Jesus Christ into His own creation to die for our sins and to offer a restored relationship with Him and eternal life. If you don’t know Him, or you have more questions, please come talk to me after the service. If you are interested in being baptized or becoming a member of this church, I would also welcome you to stop and talk to me or contact me in the church office.
