Back to Church Sunday – Patriot Day

  Get Directions

Back to Church Sunday is coming up on Sunday, September 16 at 10 am. We’re having a special day specifically designed to welcome people back to church; so now is a good time to visit First Baptist Church for the first time or to return again.

Our theme, “You Belong Here,” is based on the Scripture verse below.

“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
– Romans 15:7

The fact is that 75% of Americans admit to feeling deep loneliness. In addition to that, the number of Americans with no close friends has tripled since 1985. That’s why we are here – for people to grow in their faith, get plugged in, form real friendships, and have the opportunity to serve God together.

First Baptist Church desires to help people Worship God, Grow in Christ, and Share God’s Love (the Gospel) with our community. Those our our main purposes and we believe you belong here with us.

Thank You to Local Heroes!

Patriot Day is remembered on September 11 each year. During the worship service we will be honoring our local police, fire, EMT and other community heroes. Please pass the word – we would like to include any local heroes!

After the service, we will have an open house for our children’s Sunday School classes and adult Bible studies so you can see what they are like.

Then we’ll have a FREE cookout to thank our local heroes and help visitors and our members get to know each other. It will be a blast! There’s something for everyone: games, a raffle for great prizes, and fun for the kids and families.

This is the perfect opportunity to come back to church or try it for the first time. Invite a friend, family, neighbors or coworkers to join you and grow deeper in their faith, or perhaps encounter God for the first time.
