Easter 2021

SUNDAY APRIL 4  | 10:00 AM

The story of Easter is a story of love. God’s love for humanity is a theme that runs through all of Scripture. The story starts with man and woman’s decision to ignore God’s instructions for enjoying the perfect world He created, moves to the promise of a perfect Redeemer who would make a way for a restored relationship with God, is fulfilled in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and ends with the final restoration of all of creation.

Because of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, we have an opportunity for a completely new life. Jesus, the Son of God, took care of our sin when He died on the cross. Easter celebrates His rising from the dead and providing eternal life for all who accept the gift of His life substituted for ours.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Join us for Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter to hear more about God’s redeeming love for you.

This year as we remember, commemorate, and celebrate Jesus Christ, we are doing it from the viewpoint of Peter, one of the Lord’s closest disciples. On Palm Sunday we meet promising Peter and see some of his great potential as he got to know, trust and believe in Jesus. On Easter, we will see him at his very lowest point. He has his ups and downs. His good days and bad days. Often blurting out whatever comes to mind – without really thinking first. Most of us can identify with Peter as we see a real person who had real struggles with his faith, personal sin, deep discouragement. Is there hope for someone like Peter? Is there hope for you and me? On Easter Sunday, Pastor Mark will share God’s Word from the Bible about how the Resurrection changes all of this and brings hope to the hopeless.

Invite your friends and family to come to church with you, or if you are at home host a watch party!
