Elder (presbyter) means “older or mature”

Take Aways

From Thom Rainer’s book, I am a Church Member, we ask all new members to sign a pledge to do the following.

  1. I will be a functioning (serving) member.
  2. I will be a unifying member.
  3. I will not let church be about my preferences and desires.
  4. I will pray for my church leaders.
  5. I will lead my family to be healthy church members.
  6. I will treasure church membership as a gift.

Are you bringing Jesus Christ glory in His local church? What is something you can do this week to show Christ’s love to your fellow members.

If you have never trusted Him as your Lord and Savior, come talk to me after the service. That’s the first step!
