Glory to God in the Highest

Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us exult and give him the glory.

Revelation 19:6b-7a

Just as the angels sang “Glory to God in the highest!” when they announced the birth of the new king Jesus, there will again be great singing in heaven to celebrate the marriage supper of the Lamb. This future event in heaven, brings the Bride (all believers in Jesus Christ) to the Bridegroom (Jesus Christ, the Son of God) for a marriage feast ushering in a union for all eternity.

Our Christmas carols are songs of praise and joy. They celebrate the good news of the Gospel – God took on human form (which He created) to bring redemption, freedom from sin, and to reunite mankind into a personal relationship with Him. This restores God’s original creation.

Veiled in flesh the Godhead see. Hail the incarnate Deity.

As we sing the beautiful carols of Christmas, may we focus on the glory of God and the wonderful proclamation of the Good News of Emmanuel, God with us.

God bless you and your family this Christmas.
