Christmas 2020

You are invited to join us for a special Christmas advent series, Celebrate Christmas, at 9:30 am Sunday mornings starting on November 29 for four weeks leading up to Christmas.

“We have all experienced an extremely difficult year with our world and regular daily routines turned upside down. So many things just don’t seem right and we all long for our lives to return to normal. A lot of the chaos and confusion we are facing today are similar to the world God sent His Light into over two thousand years ago. God’s plan was to reveal salvation through His Son Jesus Christ and to bring peace to a world of chaos and confusion. He love shone in Bethlehem as the promised Messiah was born in a very humble setting. We all need to understand why we celebrate Christmas and the difference it makes in our world. I hope you will join us!” says Pastor Mark Massaro.

In a season often marked by frenzied busyness, maybe this year in particular will bring the opportunity to set aside time to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. Our worship services will help us place our focus on a far greater story than our own—the story of God’s redeeming love for our world. We will see what it means to be “in Christ” as we explore the messages of Hope in Christ, Peace in Christ, Joy in Christ, and Love in Christ.

The four weeks leading up to Christmas have been celebrated through the ages as the “Advent” or coming. Each Sunday we will light one of the four candles on the Advent wreath and discover God’s messages of hope, peace, joy and love through His Word, the Bible. The Old Testament tells of the coming Messiah – the one who would save the world. The New Testament shares the Good News – the Gospel of the arrival of Jesus Christ the Son of God.

You can sing your favorite Christmas carols, hear beautiful special music, and anticipate the weekly lighting of the Advent wreath as we countdown to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Your family will want to stay for delicious cookies, coffee, and cocoa after each service too!
